FOODEX自1976首次舉辦，已成功舉行了44屆，是亞太地區規模最大，聲譽最高，品種最齊全，交易量最大，與德國科隆、法國巴黎國際食品展齊名，成為世界第三大規模的食品和飲料專項展覽會。該展會自1976年起每年舉辦，作為參展商及參觀者雙方拓展商機的最佳場所，每次均獲得有關人士的高度評價。上屆展會展位面積28973平方米，共3461個展位，共有來自65個國家的2,412家參展商前來參加，其中日本參展商占了28％，其他72％均為來自海外的參展商。展會期間來館參觀洽談的人數多達近10萬人，其中70%的專業觀眾來自公司管理層。
FOODEXは1976年に初めて開催されてから、すでに44回の開催に成功して、アジア太平洋地域の規模が最大で、最も名聲が高くて、品種が最もそろって、取引量が最大で、ドイツのケルン、フランスのパリ國際食品展示會と併んで、世界第三の規模の食品と飲料の特別展示會になった。1976年から展示されている
毎年開催され、出展者と來場者の雙方がビジネスチャンスを開拓する最適な場所として、毎回関係者から高い評価を得た。前回の展示ブースは28,973平方メートル、3461のブースで、65カ國から2,412社の出展者が參加した
